THINGS TO COME : PLANS, SCHEMES AND DREAMS
Revenant announced in 1998 the following Fahey
releases:
- Earliest recordings : The Fonotone Years 1958-65 (a
7 cd set!)
Still an ongoing project
- KBOO Session (Live on Radio) (by the John Fahey
Trio)
Section released on "Hitomi"
- The Zabrieski Point Tapes
-
Announced early 1998 by Little Brother Records:
- "Another John Fahey double 7" is also in the works,
along with plans to compile both this EP and 'The Mill
Pond' onto a single CD. No idea when that might
happen."
- In 2003 Mike Hogan of Little Brother Records told
the IFC that whilst they'd love to release more Fahey
stuff, nothing had been worked out before Fahey's
death.
-
Forthcoming release, 2002, Adelphi Records:
Memoriam
- In 2003 Gene Rosenthal told the IFC that this is
composed of previously unreleased material and will be
released in CD and DVD format. The DVD will contain
video footage.
-
Forthcoming release November 2001 by Glasswing
Records : The Lost Visions of Blind Joe Death
We have no further information about this.
-
Forthcoming book, "Vampire Vultures"
We believe this was to be a privately printed
book containing various Fahey writings
-
Projected album : John Fahey Tribute show
We seem to remember Phil Kellogg, heroic
organiser of the Tribute shows, contemplating issuing
some of the material. Phil, did you get anywhere?
-
Possible album "Summertime and other Sultry Songs"
recorded 2000
Title of some material which was discussed in
2001as possibly going to be Fahey's last release.
Instead we now have "Red Cross" which may or may not
be the same thing.
